The Waihōanga Lodge is available for hire and offers an affordable private location and platform venue to provide, retreats, conferences, workshops, camps, festivals & gatherings. The Lodge accommodates up to 36 people (plus camping) & also offers a large conference room, yurt meeting space and a choice of self catering or catered meals. The Lodge boarders the stunning Otaki river, is situated amongst beautiful forest and amazing birdsong & is ideally located only an hour North of Wellington & an hour South of Palmerston North 

Waihōanga provides a unique, natural and affordable location for your wedding day. It is a venue which allows your friends and family to enjoy many magical moments over a few days enjoying great meals, swims in the river, walks through the forest and celebration around delicious meals.

Out of the 'Waihōanga Kitchen' comes delicious meals which are based around fresh local produce (much of it organic), tasty satisfying recipes & nourishing tastes for the body, mind & spirit . When the lodge is hired a group has the option of having catered meals which can be designed around group & individual dietary preferences and needs.

The Waihōanga `Wild Things' Forest Ropes Course offers people of all ages an opportunity to take ones self out of the `everydayness' & embrace the ecstasy of  facing fears, delighting in adventure and letting your `Wild Thing' fly through the forest. Experienced adventure professionals create a great atmosphere & ensure this to be a safe and exhilarating experience for all, including business groups, families & schools.

The Waihōanga community consists of a group of committed individuals that live both on & off site who hold a vision for collective well-being on many levels. We have no rules, religion or definite ethos that bind us, rather a sense of creativity, clarity, direction & trust which brings us together & guides us step by step.
