Directions
We're a little out of the way, but we are easy to find. Below are instructions if you are coming from Wellington, or from the North.
If driving from Wellington
Turn off State Highway One into Otaki Gorge Rd, immediately on your right just before the Otaki River as you approach the Otaki township. Drive down this road approximately 8 kilometres until you reach a road bridge on your left. Drive slowly over this bridge (it is a wooden one lane bridge) and then take the road immediately on your right. This is Waihōanga Rd. Drive down this road for approximately 200 metres until you reach some letterboxes on your right and there is a gate directly in front of you saying "Waihōanga Centre". Drive through this gate and down to the very bottom of the drive. The Centre will be immediately in front of you.
If driving from the north
Turn off into Otaki Gorge Road, immediately on your left after you have crossed the Otaki River bridge at the very south end of Otaki on State Highway One. Now proceed as per directions above.
