A description of the Lodge and the surrounds
The Lodge itself is set amongst a variety of both native and non native vegetation, being completely private and bordering the Otaki River.
Up above the lodge is a large old pine forest which was many years ago the old saw dust pile from the timber milling days of yesteryear, this is currently where the ropes course is situated.
A crystal clear stream runs through the property and is where all of the drinking water for the lodge comes from it then winds down into a magnificent waterfall entering the Otaki River
The Lodge has a great Hall , kitchen facilities and two bathrooms with 3 of the bedrooms also found within. The lodge is built out of macrocarpa wood and has great character.
There are 4 uts that are scattered in and around the lodge situated in little tucked away corners within the trees.
The yurt is a magical place which is found over a wee bridge and is our sacred space which is available for guests to use for their own special gatherings.
A fire circle is found down by the stream and is a great meeting place at night to share stories and have a laugh
There are also many walks through the forest which lead down to the river for an invigorating swim or for some time out.
