WWOOFING

WWOOFERS at Waihōanga

We are very fortunate to have attracted a fantastic ongoing stream of amazing people who have come from all over the world to share with us their skills and talents to enable the Waihōanga Centre to flourish.  These people have come under the WWOOFING structure which,

" is part of a world wide community that promotes awareness of ecological farming practices by providing volunteers with the opportunity to live and learn on organic properties. WWOOF is an enjoyable, educational and safe way to explore and get to know the people in the country".

WWOOFING at the Waihōanga Centre is an exchange of skill sharing, swapping ideas and inspirations, experiencing community life,  and having a platform to let your creativity and learning take off from.

Some specific skills that are needed at Waihōanga include:
Gardening
Building
Pruning
Farm & Building Maintenance
Creative skills
Childcare

Many WWOOFERS have come to Waihōanga and have loved the environment and diverse range of projects that are available. The accommodation for Wwoofers varies depending on the time of year, projects we are working on, and availability of the lodge. It may be a private or shared room, hone of the unique huts, or a bunk in the lodge during a "working bee".

If you would like to come and offer some time and experience Waihōanga please contact us.
